The fourth Tel Aviv International Theater Festival, an initiative and production by the Malenky Theater – which is currently marking its 25th year – will be hosting immigrant theater groups and creators from Israel and all over the world. We invite you to experience five days of fine theatrical celebration that will include performances, staged play readings, master classes, creative exchanges, workshops, and theater laboratory.

 

“Big Friends of a Small Theater” was borne out of countless enriching exchanges over the years with theater groups and creators from many countries during the Malenky Theater’s international tours. These exchanges and dialog between inspiring creators from various countries encouraged mutual enrichment and creative inspiration, while also granting the audience a glimpse at the world, enabling us as a community to discover new things about ourselves through the eyes of the other.

 

This is the only international festival in Israel for chamber productions of contemporary theater. Guests of the festival include creators and groups whom we consider friends and companions in a global, creative, artistic partnership. The success of and interest in this festival in previous years are evidence of the Israeli audience’s thirst for such opportunities to experience new languages and high-quality, emotional works.
